DESCRIPTION: Weeping fig featuring dark glossy foliage and dense foliage, ideal grown as a standard, bonsai or potted shrub.
USE IN: Plant in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden or in a container for indoor or patio planting.
PLANTING: Suited to full sun and shade, perfect for almost anywhere. Provide plenty of water during dry periods. Prefers warm climates.
CARE: Mulch and water with a seaweed based fertiliser on planting to reduce transplant shock, follow with regular watering until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune regularly to help maintain a tidy growth habit. Apply a slow release fertiliser twice yearly and protect from frost. Weeping figs don't like being moved and can drop leaves in shock, but these will grow back.
HEIGHT & WIDTH:  Up to 2 m H x 1.5 m W. when grown in containers. This plant has the ability to grow to a large tree (approx 10-15 metres) with invasive roots and is best kept confined in a pot. On the plus side, if you are on a large property it will grow to a magnificent feature tree providing plenty of shade during summer.
