Can hard prune to only 1m tall. White flowers in Spring, followed by red fruits in summer which the birds love. It's an all-round winner.

Syzygium australe 'Bush Christmas'
DESCRIPTION: Compact syzygium variety with glossy dark foliage and stunning red new growth. Small white flowers during spring before red fruit appear. Dense growth habit.
USE IN: Great screening and hedging plant. Suited to topiary and container growing. Beautiful bird attracting native shrub. Tolerates drought and frost.
LOCATION: Plant in well drained soil in a full sun to partly shaded position in the garden.
CARE: Mulch and water regularly until the plant is established, usually around 12 weeks. Prune after flowering to promote new growth or as required for hedging and topiary plants. Fertilise with a native slow release fertiliser in spring.
HEIGHT & WIDTH: 1 - 2 m H x 1 - 2 m W.
